decapitation of command and control structure The idea of securing the nuclear assets of pakistan by US was expressed by me couple of months ago on this thread. For that, US needs cooperation of the generals in charge of the nuclear assets or "a surreptitious decapitation" --neutralization-- of the entire command and control structure and hierarchy (I don't mean killing but effective prevention of the personnel from issuing and carrying out orders for a nuclear launch) should be accomplished in the blink of an eye. Once the nuclear assets are secured, everything else is easy and a war can be avoided. A threat of air strikes at pakistan by the US cruise missiles may prevent the pakis from reacting to the takeover of their nuclear assets. This is important because it is well known that the paki nuclear scientists were sleeping with Osama and passing technical details for a dirty bomb. What Pakistan will do in the future with its nukes is a nightmarish scenario. pakistan's nuclear program is dangerous for India, Israel and the West.
