Two things:

1) what does "perjury is a term of art" mean?

2) I disagree that "claiming that someone committed perjury means that one has confidence that a fair trial would produce conviction."

I believe it is also valid to believe that if one's sworn testimony is disputed by two or more other's sworn testimony (with no known axe to grind, or reason to be prejudiced in the matter, and equal knowledge of the events) then common sense dictates that at least *someone* has perjured themselves, and possibly that is the 'outlier's' testimony.
