DJ Symantec Dn -3: Co 'Extremely Comfortable' Will Meet Views

Reached later Thursday, Symantec spokeswoman Genevieve Haldeman declined to
comment on the company's performance in the enterprise market so far this
quarter.
But she said Chief Executive John W. Thompson is likely to offer some
details on the quarter when he addresses investors at a Bear Stearns
conference in New York on Wednesday.
Haldeman said Symantec is "extremely comfortable with the guidance we have
given," of 32 cents earnings per share at the midpoint of its revenue
estimate of $280 million to $290 million.
"We feel the diversity of our customer base and our product portfolio is
where we bring value to investors," she said.
