gold margin calls have begun, beyond a critical price now
we are to see a handful of critical gold/dollar price levels
#315 was one for GOLD
#330 is next
112 was critical for DOLLAR, trade weighted index
108 is next
each level will be more painful for Gold Cartel
utter desperation will arrive at #400 gold
that is when bankruptcies of major banks will likely occur
I expect when the dollar is done in next few rounds, 95-96

dont make the mistake of attributing conscience to currency traders
they would be perfectly content in taking big profits
then hiding on a south pacific island with bare chested women
sipping marguaritas while the world enters depression

they are not evil
they are efficiency engines
their work is to accelerate corrections
but to be hired guns for the corrupt to enable their distortions quickly

reminded of the Old Soviet Union
three things brought them down:
cellphones, faxes, photocopiers -- as info was disseminated

this time around one thing will bring down the system:
the internet and free flow of info
the best and most competent economic analysis is on internet
the mainstream media is way too controlled
I hate saying that, because I trust much of it
but not as it pertains to dollar, economy, bonds, currencies
and especially GOLD

their PlungeTeam mantra now is: "GOLD IS JEWELRY, NOT MONEY"
they are wrong, and will find this out painfully
GOLD has been money for 5000 years, and still is money

I appreciate your thoughts

Haim, I read of increased dollar carry trade, as I expected
what are you seeing out there in the trenches?

the dollar took an accelerated move down in late June
from 111 to 105 in a flash
I suspect futures were used to take dollar down, euro up
this is the essence of my described dollar carry trade

my forward view is that the dollar will be around 98-101 by end of year
and 88-91 sometime in 2003, maybe earlier than we expect
during all this airpocket hyper-action, we should see a currency crisis never witnessed before
and gold taking off

I would greatly appreciate any thoughts and observations

or maybe you are in some tornado shelter
I hope not
thanks, jim
