Lindy, every cloud has a silver lining. You know there is a move to compensate suitably pigmented people because of slavery -- offspring of immigrants who had nothing to do with it should pay money to Uncle Tom Sowell, Condominium Rice, Colinisation Powell and other obviously suffering descendants of slaves [assuming they were, which might not be the case].

Well, I suggest that none of those people and none of the descendants of slaves are choosing to move back to live under the cruel rule of the descendants of those who sold them down the river in Niger long ago. Those Nigers don't want to go 'home'. They like it fine where they are thank you very much.

Descendants of slaves in the USA should be very grateful for slavery. They should quit whining. Life wasn't much fun for most people 100/200 years ago. Being a press-ganged soldier wasn't a bucket of laughs either. Try marching in the French Foreign Legion - I think I'd rather be Thomas Jefferson's slave.

I heard there was conscription not long ago in the USA and people were sent off to Vietnam, against their will, as cannon fodder to fight for freedom or market access or something.

Free will and freedom was and is only recognized to a small extent, even in the liberty-loving USA. "Yeah, yeah! Free will. Now, shutup and march or you'll get a year in the pen".
