Could those big price cut announcements really be the key factor for this lowered guidance?
Had they not cut so deep, could we have seen revenue and margin guidance a little higher. In that case, it might have been a non event. (?)

I guess the "smart money" probably already knew this (i sure did not).

If they knew, Intel should do much better than the 24+ we see afterhours.

Amy, good point. Intel blew it once again with their quarterly forecast. I remember some of the analysts asking Intel why so rosy with the forecast back in April. If I remember correctly, this is at least the 2nd time they blew on the Q2 forecast in the recent past. Better to keep the expectations low.
