Are you saying that you don't know the difference between property taxes and income taxes.

No. I already pay more in property taxes, but your argument seemed to be that I should be taxed on my increase in wealth. The property taxes are not a tax on an increase in wealth. I would pay the same property taxes on my house whether I had bought it for 15 cents of $45mil.

Tim. This is not a characteristic post of yours. Your punctuation and use of pronouns is a little less than perfect.

If I move an out of place period and add a paragraph break it might be easier to read.

____________

Jitmab - "Only a miniscule portion of Bill Gates' or Warren Buffet's
accumulated wealth has been ever been taxed. "

Tim - Because no profit has been realized on most of that accumulated wealth.

My house went up from about $113k to about $160k. I pay more in property taxes then I did before but should I also pay taxes on the $40k+ of new accumulated wealth"?
