You can go with the bloviating pundits flacking for the Friends of Cheney, or you can go with the consensus of scientists working in the field. It's your choice. I would have thought that the AIPAC line would have been with the scientists, since the main thing we can do about it is energy conservation, which would also reduce dependency on mideast oil, but I guess the neocons got to keep up good relations with the Friends of Cheney too.

Neither is more normal than the other. When an ice age comes [quickly, because snow cover reflects heat whereas plants, earth and oceans absorb it] the earth rapidly cools. Deserts become wet and plants grow. That reduces reflectivity and earth warms and the green area grows. CO2 levels decrease as plant life proliferates and increases as plant life dies off. There are many cycles such as volcanic action and ocean heating which have an impact too. Our job is to change what is 'normal' to suit ourselves. Ice ages are definitely bad for nearly everyone because the main land masses get buried in kilometres of ice. Keeping it warm is the main challenge. More CO2 is good. Bringing those vast unmarked graves back to life is a great achievement. <Who do you trust, that's the question? > Trust me, Mqurice [with all the answers]
