NTFS file system is real good.

You can have a file of any size. Even a backup file of several GIG's.

The file system is also (according to the info fed me) more stable.

Only Win2K plus OS's can use NTFS file system.

Win 2K plus NTFS equals a real stable system. I have found that to be true.

Hence "at home" XP as an additional OS is an interest to me.

/edit Yes you have to defragment more often with NTFS system

NTFS is a great file system for PC's, imho; the reason they said it didn't "need" defragmenting was because they didn't *have* defragmenting. After a couple years, it was available 3rd party, and finally with Win2k, it was available 1st party. The 3rd party app I used to use, diskkeeper, lets you schedule defrag.
