I agree that for the past 5 months, technically oversold has meant almost nothing. Stocks are heading toward their proper valuations .. and then some.

But Dave -- what P/E valuation measure does one use ? Healthy economy P/Es of 20 - 30 ? Or "I never want to own another stock again" P/Es of 11 - 15 ?

Makes a big difference.

Of course, for a stock to have a PE ..... it has to have EARNINGS !!
