Bombardier Introduces ATV Industry's First Two Seater ATV

VALCOURT, QUEBEC, June 6, 2002 - Bombardier Recreational Products
opens an untapped market segment in the All Terrain Vehicle (ATV)
industry with the introduction of the new Traxter(R) MAX ATV. The
Bombardier(R) Traxter MAX is the first and only ATV that has the
manufacturer's approval to accommodate two riders. Prior to the
Traxter MAX, ATVs were designed and approved for single rider use
only.

"Since entering the ATV industry in 1999, Bombardier Recreational
Products has lived up to its commitment to provide innovative new
models in each existing market segment," stated Jose Boisjoli,
President, Snowmobiles, Watercraft and ATVs. " Now, as the first
ATV manufacturer to build a two-seater, we are living up to our
leadership reputation by providing a new product for a large,
existing utility market with riders that want 2-up riding
capability at work."

The Traxter MAX is specially-designed to provide the greater
stability and control required when carrying a passenger. It is
built on an extended Traxter frame, while the proven Rotax(R)
498cc engine that powers other Traxter models is repositioned more
centrally in the extended chassis to optimize weight bias for both
single and tandem operation.

The Bombardier Traxter MAX shares the proven benefits of the
award-winning super-duty Traxter ATV. The innovative step-through
design on the Traxter proves a significant added-value benefit
since it allows easy access for the driver without bothering the
passenger. It also features the full-time 4WD Visco-Lok(*)
Optimized Traction system, rear-mounted radiator, large up-front
storage compartment, and park position that have made the Traxter
ATV such a popular model. The new Traxter MAX will be available
in dealer showrooms later this year. Bombardier Recreational
Products designs, develops, builds, distributes and markets
utility vehicles, Rotax(R) engines, Ski-Doo(R) and Lynx(R)
snowmobiles, Bombardier(R) ATVs, Sea-Doo(R) watercraft and sport
boats, Bombardier Fish Hawk(TM) fishing boats as well as the
Evinrude(R) and Johnson(R) outboard marine engines and the
Ficht(R) direct fuel injection technology.
