I didn't forget the responsibility of the parents I just didn't mention them I thought of mentioning them but didn't see the point it isn't really relevant to my point about librarians what should be in a librarian's purview really has nothing to do with what parents are doing, or should be doing whether parents are or are not exercising sufficient judgment, imo librarians should not be expected to be childminders- unless it is part of their job description at their individual libraries
