jpgill! I do not believe that there is the demand for gold jewelry like it use to be.....people are downsizing in everything even the amount of jewelery they wear.......I put on a gold necklace and before leaving the house I take it off......seems to look overdone anymore...smaller earrings, etc....hard to believe gold will go back to $800......are my friends that much different now...?? don't think so. Use to you would see rings on all fingers......seldom any more......even the kids are into string rings and braclets.... Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm! Don't know if that would effect the price of gold that much or not......Just thinking out loud.... dealie
