Total nonfinancial debt rose at a seasonally adjusted 5.2 percent annual rate in the first three months of the year following a revised 5.9 percent increase in the fourth quarter, the Fed said in its quarterly "flow of funds" report. The fourth quarter was originally reported as a 6.0 percent gain.
