8:40AM: The futures are indicating a resumption of Friday's positive reversal on a relatively quiet pre-market....No companies are reporting and there are few notable analyst up/downgrades. There are a couple of mixed comments on handsets. JP Morgan out of Europe upgrades Nokia (NOK 12.30) and Ericsson (ERICY 2.04) saying that valuations substantially reflect all the bad news. However, Merrill Lynch cuts its 2002-03 handset forecasts, saying that the fundamentals in the mobile handset environment do not appear to be improving. Both stocks were at new 52-wk lows Friday...
ImClone (IMCL 8.45) is down 10% on a WSJ article that some family members may have sold shares using inside information....Nothing on the economic calendar today...S&P 500 futures are trading at +2.00, or 3 pts above fair value while Nas 100 futures are trading at +5.50, or 2.5 pts above fair value. Nas 100 PMI +4.10.
