Win,

On the other side you have the chosen few picked up by the conservative "think tanks", "think tanks" which do "research" that exclusively supports their preconceived positions, and the legions of bloviating pundits dedicated to propagating the conservative orthodoxy of the day.

This is a two way street. There are one or two green think tanks selectively editing the good works of scientists to suit their own purposes. I suppose liberal pundits are saintly and conservative pundits bloviate.

BTW, there has been a wonderful debate happening for several months on the Scientific American web site about the science behind global warming. It started with a negative review of the book, "Environmental Skepticism" and the authors response. It captures the flavor of the scientific debate in one place.
