by the time the price is 400 if it gets there you won't be able to buy the miners at these prices. When we were buying hmgcy and gfi in late 2000/early 2001 for $4-5 pog wasn't doing anything, if you waited for 300 you had to pay up and missed several 100%

The POG rose to $410 just seven years ago and much higher than that in the '80's. Another near term top in the $400 to $500 area is certainly possible. Since gold has little intrinsic value and limited (if any) long term growth potential, I would consider any short term bull market in the sector to be a speculative bubble. Thus if one is going to play it they must heed the greater fool theory.
