"Saving Private Ryan" was a great movie, but I classify it as an obligatory experience rather than entertainment. It helps people to visualize what our military people endure. I belong to the D. L. D. W. W. society. I didn't like "Dances With Wolves" because it gave a very unrealistic "Noble Savage" picture of native Americans. They are real people, and they are no more nor no less noble or vile than everybody else. DWW made every white man but Kevin Costner look evil and stupid.
