The Bush backers have made it pretty clear that they plan to use whatever means they can muster to grab and keep power. Most people are laying low, especially polititians who are likely to be targeted with multi-million dollar oppositions, charges of treason, and whatever secret skulldugery that Ashcroft and the CIA can come up with. story.news.yahoo.com It was unclear what authority any new secretary of homeland security would have over the FBI and CIA. A senior administration official briefing reporters at the White House said the secretary could not order — only strongly suggest — that the FBI investigate a lead. TP
