Now Darren that is pure hatred

Not exactly. Jews have been a separate people for 3000 years. Palestinians have been a separate people for about forty years.

Before the British came and set up the Mandate of Palestine, Palestine was just a region of Syria. It wasn't even a province of its own, but was devided between the vileyats of Beirut and Damascus, and the Independent Sanjak of Jerusalem. The Arab inhabitants of the region, if they had to name a country they belonged to (their natural inclination would be to identify themselves by their clan), would have said Syria. There has never been an Arab state of Palestine, ever.

The Arabs of Palestine weren't organized as a people in 1948, and if the Jews had lost the war, Palestine would have been divided between Syria, Jordan and Egypt. In 1948, the very word "Palestinian" refered to the Zionists. Read newspaper accounts of the period.

So Palestinian nationalism is a recent invention arising in response to Zionism, and to the despicable treatment they have received at the hands of their "brother" Arabs. The twentieth century created 100 million refugees. Only the Palestinians are still in camps. There was no push for an Arab Palestine before 1967. Only when Israel took the land, did the cause of "Palestine" suddenly appear on Arab radar. They also wised up and realized that "self-determination for the Palestinian people" is a much easier sell in the West than "destroy Israel". Their real motives remain unchanged.
