Some cartoons, where the intensity of violence is ratcheted up, and there is too much gore, are, indeed, distasteful and worrisome. But in general, I think that cartoons are pretty clearly fantasy, with talking animals and characters who do not fall until they notice they are in mid- air, and therefore they have less effect than porn, which maintains a semblance of reality, and allows fantasy to be superimposed on real people and situations.........
