Slider,

Is Cramer saying he'd be buying some Barrick the sell signal you were looking for?

Being an English speaking blue collar type..... can you let me in on what <<<<<GOLD: Foi Est Tout ~>>>>>>>>>> means?

By the way, I sold some of my long held KGC and bought some CDE back there abit ago at $1.18, missed the $1.10 but then I am not complaining.

Thanks for your tips, education, and your rantings Slider.

Slider,
Noticed some headlines in newspapers on Thursday indicating HMO's to be increasing their rates over 20%, some as high as 94%.

Got a indication from a gent in the business a month or so ago that [health care insurance] rates would be going up a lot due to some new government regulation. No details on that, it was a brief conversation, but looks like he knew what he was talking about. News articles I read didn't mention that regulation, they attributed the rate increases to the HMO's keeping costs low over the 90's to gain market share (yeah right! sounds like tech hype).

Just an inflation indicator tidbit...

an astonishing ignorance by Kud&Cramer on gold and Barrick

read this article last week on Barrick Hedgebook details
apologies if old hat to you, SliderMan
gold-eagle.com

the margin calls have begun
movement of hedgebook cash out of corp bonds is the signal
points out the lie of recurrable rollovers
I think JPM will attempt to skewer the miners
as Karl Marx (an old bear from way back) said:
ONE OF YOU WILL DIE

Barrick loses $120 per 10-buck move in POG
hedgebook change in valuation during Q1 was down $400M

either hedged miners or bullion bankers will die
in this case, it will be Barrick
but eventually JPMorganChase will have a tough time staying afloat on its choppy seas

Slider, how likely do you think it is that JPMorg will survive?
I give them 50-50 within 18 months
reports internally from London office indicates disarray, lost gold control, and threat to survival
thanks
/ Jim (no blink)
