I think the less we "help" our fellow men to the things we love, the more they will love us.

Not many people want to be loved into reading Jane Austen and watching art movies.

Neo wants reasonable arguments- but that assumes there are people who have the tools to use reason and logic. Most people do not. Most people on the internet are irrational, and cling to that irrationality- hence the abundance of name calling, and outrageous rhetoric. Logic does not need name calling and hyperbole. Logic is about ideas, and when one can logically challenge an idea it isn't necessary to confuse the idea with the person. Anger and denigration of the person, while emotionally satisfying, is absolutely pointless as an argument, it convinces no one except those who agree with you already.
