Ouch! Anybody still in gold? Some down 15-25% in 3 days.

Closed the HGMCY calls a few days ago as posted.
Have tried to re-enter calls each day on HGMCY the past 3 days but none hit, and now I'm sure glad they didn't.

Got to do the homework this weekend.

All cash right now, but am watching the turtle calls at Dow 9500 area. Conservative.... check the leaps on the turtles.

<<Just got in after a long day with an international client. Interesting.... the time I squeezed in some questions about business in general, the response was positive. They are gearing up production for third quarter. This is on target with what I posted sometime ago that numerous clients I know were retrofitting and renovating facilities getting ready for forecasted 3rd qtr orders.>>

RR: Thanks for the report from the field...I think the signs of a recovery may indicate that it's closer than some of 'the experts' realize...=)

-Scott

BTW, I continue to be cautiously optimistic and here's an excerpt from an investing newsletter that I just received:

<<...Soft Landing or Over the Cliff?

Let's look at what good things are happening. Today we learn
employment may be starting to turn. The U.S. service economy
expanded during May at the fastest pace in almost two years, as the
recovery from recession gains momentum. U.S. manufacturing expanded
in May at the fastest pace in more than two years, as production and
new orders increased. Retail sales were essentially flat in May, but
that is better than dropping.

In short, America is doing what it has always done, and that is to
adjust and grow. The core business of America is still in pretty
good shape, with a little fraying around the technology edges...>>

They are gearing up production for third quarter.

For what its worth Rick. When I was in Ireland (Maynooth(?)), they were happy that the Intel plant nearby was reopening after a six month shutdown.

There's better days ahead, its just the quality of those days that has me concerned. Don't see any return to the old days anytime soon.
