Unlike Enron and Tyco, nobody has had a worse market than telecoms. So if there was any dishonesty problems with telecom you should have heard them by now as the market itself would have forced the problems to the surface just like it did with GX and others. The question now becomes, would we ever see a telecom spending rebound again or does everyone continue shrinking untill there is no more telecom in the world. And how low can you take companies with real assets before they become targets for M&A activity. With NT & LU trading at near 0.5x sales, cash value, and below book, at what level do you think they become attractive targets for M&A.

IMO, there is no question that the street is discounting that telecom is never coming back. I don't buy that as IMO telecom is cyclical and will come back and so I will be buying big next week. After all these are all huge bubble profits that I'm playing with so I have nothing to lose and everything to gain. <vbg>

JMHO.
