I think we are working with the concept that we will never have the luxury of building up a force by sea again, as we did in Gulf War I. (God, it is terrible to think in those terms, isn't it?) And we are adding to that, that if we did, the present tube artillery plus the Air capability would be enough to get the job done. "Korea II", or "China I" would be fought that way. If we did have to fight those wars, would Crusader be nice to have? Of course! But, where do you stop?
