I simply disagree with you on both counts, Kevin. Just what knee jerk garbage do you think will push us into totalitarianism? Nothing from the Nazis you listed sounds familiar to me. In fact, #4 is the antithesis of what I'm saying but fits what you are saying about the second amendment exactly. #3 is just wrong. Terrorists are the danger, and most of them happen to be Arabs. So be it. You don't see Vietnamese bombing things. They are too busy running their convenience stores. Mexicans are too busy sending money home. Russians are too busy becoming Americans (I've met quite a few of them and they are wonderful). I don't know any Arabs, but if I do you can bet I will check to see what they have strapped around their waist. #2 Imperialism is dead. Here and everywhere. #1 America has always been great from day one and keeps getting greater. Lack of gun ownership is not what could potentially push us towards totalitarianism. Some of the knee jerk right wing post-Sept 11th garbage is.
