that's exactly what liberals do. it's all the fault of the white man. white men oppress women. the white man oppresses blacks and other minorities. the white man must pay the black man reparations even though there are no living black slaves today. i as a white man who never owned slaves must pay reparations to a black man who has never been enslaved. Craig, you need professional help. I invite you to open a "liberal" newspaper like the New York Times and see if the majority of the commentators spouse any of the views you describe. . how else can you explain the fact that blacks simply by the virtue of their skin color feel they deserve compensation for injustices that occurred long before they (or even their parents) were born. Easy. It can be explained by the fact that ther are discriminated simply by virtue of their skin color. For example, a black WalMart got fired for dating a white person. salon.com It is actions like these that make redress fro black necessary. When such actions stop, there will be no more need to focus in skin color (by the way, I pressume you are middle-aged. Where you equally outraged against discrimination to blacks in the South? or are you masking under a pretense of equality unabashed self interest?
