I thought you didn't want to discuss it further? Yes, there are incidents that are illustrative, and there are incidents that mean nothing. It could be, as you say, that it was later spun, though his poor eyesight is a matter of record, and there have been other occasions where he didn't put in his contacts due to irritation and such. It could be nothing. Who knows? Why bother to discuss it, since it is a factual question neither of us is in a position to resolve. I brought it up merely as an example of an anecdote that could easily have an innocuous explanation being made to illustrate too much. Also, it does not much matter how many similar bits of gossip are assembled, as long as the assembly is tendentious, and details that might be important are omitted, even inadvertently.......
