Hi Scottonstocks:

Despite my MBA and 12 professional years in finance before encountering Tony, you may put me in the category of If his posts on SI opened up anyone's eyes as to the inner-workings of wall street, that was only because the reader was either ignorant or naive

I was not familiar with the ugly world of penny stocks, and it took a while for my eyes to open to it's incredible sleeziness.

I would say there are many, many investors who are in the same camp, and Tony (or, if you wish, Amr) did open the eyes of more people than anyone else I have seen.

I am not insisting the guy is innocent of all charges. I am trying to find consensus here that we should not convict him in our own minds until he has had his fair day in court.

Thanks, Peter

By the way, I am concerned that your use of Tony's legal name, Amr, is intended to bring attention to the fact that he is of Egyptian birth - a foreigner - as if that should influence our opinion of him. Perhaps not, it is his legal name after all - he got into the habit of using Tony as it made him less of a target of prejudice in his youth.

Could you list for me the names of companies who after A&P stopped shorting went on to become terrific, great investments ??

Like name one that you wish you'd put all your grandmother's money in.

Thanks, I"m interested in seeing how long this list is !

JB

PS ... are you a paid promoter by any chance ??

It's incredulous to see anyone suggest amr's interests were anything other than filling his pockets. He wasn't posting on SI to help anyone. He was first and foremost here to draw subscribers. He wasn't shorting stocks to help anyone but himself.

EXACTLY... tony posted to develop a following. he lied about his results to lure subscribers to pay him $600/mo.

there was no secret to his motivation...
