>>>I disagree that it destroys 100% of the moral high ground, though. I'll offer you 30%, can we agree on that?<<<

Hey, whatever happened to a meaningful discussion and one where folks can make their own determination on the basis of quality information for or against?

Problem is when you create a short attack scenario whereby the long wagons get circled, folks who otherwise might objectively consider something may be amiss just won't get there 'cause they're too busy firing back.

And sometimes the boards get so polluted many folks just won't wanna read 'em. Below is a good Yahoo example (please read posts 4752 to 4761--note: I post as spaghettiparty).

messages.yahoo.com

Now, if a person does not wish to participate in this kind of communication, it's quite likely they'll miss other perhaps more important parts of the string of conversation.

I mean what's wrong with, if you're a shorter, coming onto a thread and asking some questions. Once you've got some answers, then offer your opinion. Open a dialogue for consideration. If your position is clearcut and dominates then folks naturally will figure it out. If not, well then maybe the short is better placed somewhere else.

But when you come in organized and hungry for bear and truth doesn't matter a bit, especially in a low float environment, then a lot of buffalo are gonna go over the edge and become easy pickens for short hunters, read innocent prey.

It seems as if you are defending Elgindy in that he exposed crims, etc. and did more good than harm. I have reviewed many posts he made from two or more years back before he was acclaimed as a great crime buster. Mainly, what he did was announce a short and at once attack the stock's thread basically calling anyone positive as a scammer ( needless to say there is another using the same tactic on SI but Elgindy's was incessant and at times disgusting).. Not really the right approach...but that was his MO...intimidation. I went to his first seminar in San Diego and decided after the first evening that this was someone who had a unique talent but operated outside of the general norms of ethics. Did I follow his thread here?...Yep. Did I agree with him on the way he conducted himself?...Hardly ever. The rantings on his law suits finally convinced me that the man had crossed a mental line which would be hard to repair. The fact that he finally was resorted to exposing BB stocks which really requires very little talent told me that his candle was going out. I will admit, however, that I miss the entertainment he provided.
