I recently had a slot1 motherboard problem. I found a Intel Seattle-2 motherboard (440BX chipset) for about $50. Several places have them. Latest bios is p17 I think, and mine came with p16. Runs fine up to 850Mhz, some newsgroups says it will run the 1gig P3 slot 1. I'm running a 750.
SE440BX-2 I think is the part number.
