While the US may wish to usurp the rights of other nations, they're not letting that happen.

Obviously you have calmed down a bit since 9/11, or you must be in a pretty safe place.

By the way, if American business and culture was convincing terrorists of our superiority in a more peaceful way, why did they fly those planes into the buildings?

Where do you people get these ideas about US world take-over? Who wants that? Amazing brew you people drink.

So far, it's a takeover, with lots of euphemisms, excuses and "not really, it's just the war on terror, you understand..." type of explanations. A permanent lifelong war that declares the US to be above other nations' sovereignty is a takeover for all practical purposes.

And an unnecessary one, if you believe American business and culture was doing the job anyway, albeit in a more peaceful way.
