Not so amazing really , we have an "intelligence corp" only a Republican could love .<G>

They were pretty good back in WWII when they cracked the japonese codes though ...since then about 80% ongoing failure rates and damage control, and little if any visiblity.

(Not to mention all those $300 hammers the navy was buying )

that article is amazing , and they just sat and waited .

Some American commentators have mocked the panic that such vague and unconfirmed threats have recently caused among U.S. officials. Washington is still smarting from the August 1998 embassy bombings in Kenya and Tanzania, which killed 240 people, and the bombing last October of the USS Cole in Yemen, which killed 17.

Half of the press says you're doing too much; the other half says you're not doing enough ....

Amazing, that Wash Post article of 7/8/01. Incredible. But more credible than what the Homeland Insecurity Dept has spouted since.
