Perhaps qcom released some marketing news a few months ago to media.... Then business week recently ran it as filler for the mag. .. Business week could have gone back to qcom to question if article still valid... I think someone at business week was trying to put out the mag and grabbed various articles as fillers. Sounds like they do this all the time.

Eric, good catch. I didn't even see the WEEK vs WIRE, not to mention the Qualcomm press release. However, given what Julie Cunningham stated in her email......

As we stated during our analyst meeting, we have accelerated the sample shipments of the MSM6200 to the June quarter (was previously scheduled for September).

it seems pretty clear. I suspect someone did a cut 'n paste job on the press release and just forgot to change the month to June. Anyhow, I zapped another email to Julie Cunningham and will post any response.

Yesterday's email and today's response.....

Dear Ms. Cunningham,

I just noticed that you referred to Business WEEK [pardon my taking credit here <g>]. I was referring to a Business WIRE press release. Actually, the same statement referring to the September sample shipping date is in Qualcomm's June 6th press release too. I'm guessing someone just forgot to update the date to June?

During our analyst meeting we indicated that demand for the multi-mode MSM6200 is strong and, as a result, we will be accelerating the sampling schedule to the June quarter. QCT is in the process of notifying customers and potential customers of this change. We apologize for any confusion.

Best Regards, Julie Cunningham
