If you go far enough towards being all things to all people, you become nothing, to no one.

That's OK, because they have a perfect right to believe in animals, trees, nothing, etc. The First Amendment protects them from the government in that regard, as it does all religions.

Even so, it does leave out the atheists and some others (e.g. animists).
