I took time to read more of the background here... Yes, your graffiti analogy is a good one. We mostly just make declarative statements back and forth to each other. It is nice that no on interrupts with a "Whoa, what do you mean by that"?, and we can just go on developing our polemic for as long as we like, even saving it and coming back to it before we post it. Then we can watch for an answer, which need not be carefully read, except to find some point that we can put in italics as a header for us to segue into the next phase of our own thoughts. Woe that real life "conversation" demands so much more concentration on what others are saying. Our own thoughts are ever so much more interesting and worth listening to. No wonder we find SI so appealing. * All said with a very big ;-) *
