Investor, I agree with your line of thinking that Arab hospitality requires his being invited. But what I do not agree with you on is that Bush is willing to get involved with anything that is not American. In my opinion, I am still waiting to see him abandon his "isolationist" approach. I am not about ready to express myself on whether isolationism is good or bad. Just that he is an isolationist and having Colin Powell on the team supports that. It is Powell who advocated withdrawl from Iraq while the troops were poised to march into Baghdad and take out Iraq. But again, I respect Colin as a General. A good general does not order troops to combat if they are destined to suffer heavy casualties. Thus, this Bush's approach to be somewhat handoffish is still open for debate.
