The First Amendment was meant to protect citizens, even non-religious ones.

Are you offended when Christmas decorations or parties appear at work? If so, then I think you have a leg to stand on; no religious observations at work. But if you are offended because they added other religious observances after years of 'Christmas parties' and other Christian holiday displays, then that leg won't hold the weight.
