That line doesn't work, Doug. I'm an agnostic. Or worse. <gg>

Hi Ray, Not sure I'd consider an atheist worse than an agnostic unless my agenda were to "save" you. Since it's not and knowing that you're so incorrigible I know better then to try. <gg>

As to the substance, I don't think there is anything unreasonable to speculate that Cheney may be hiding something by discouraging an investigation. I know he has friends in Big Oil and that is the currency of the Middle East. It is also not unreasonable to assume that he is looking to keep our eyes forward rather than letting his enemies get everyone to focus on nothing but investigating in order to eventually find some fault that can be pinned on he or Bush. It is not illegal or unconstitutional to discourage investigation.

My point is that much of what I see both you and others here posting has Cheney already convicted when in reality you're merely speculating. I'm just looking for you to square your facts with your rhetoric. Trust me, I'm not going down with any friggin sinking ship. If and when I'm convinced Bush/Cheney is corrupt as you and others say they are, I'll be disappointed but not OVERLY surprised. I do not hold high expectations for any elected public official.

Now, let me give you another "oppurtunity" to convince me of something.
The facts don't seem to prove that out. In fact, the game plan for the "war" in Afghanistan came across GWB's desk on Sept. 9(!) according to MSNBC
You have cited this as fact. I've not seen this piece of news. Where, when and by whom as this reported? What are the sources?

RE; O'Reilly. There are times when he is too much the showman but you'd find if you spent the time to watch, much of his work is fact based and those who suffer what you call hectoring are people unable to give a straight answer to a simple question. I have to believe that you are allergic to so much of the meally mouth, say much but explain nothing, take responsibility for nothing CRAP that comes out of people's mouths. O'Reilly just does'nt let em do it. It just so happens that most of his targets end up being Leftists. They've had 8 years to study the Tomlinson/Carville spew routine. Most could'nt give a straight answer to save their lives.
