Again, if the Levin/McCain bill were passed, the pre tax expense that Siebel declared to get the tax benefit would be out in the open where we wouldn't have to fumble around trying to figure out what it is.

LOL.. yup. That's the whole point.

The company reports one set of profit numbers to shareholders.

The company reports another set of profit numbers to the IRS.

So the company reports two different profit pictures for the same business. Hmmmm...

We don't know very much, but one thing we know for sure is that companies are misrepresenting profitability to someone. Who do you think it is? Shareholders or the IRS?
