The difference is that while the loyal opposition grows larger and more vocal, the defenders of GWB are becoming more untruthfully shrill, alternately more silent or more absent from the scene. I think the level of skepticism is rising. Bush faces the inevitability that the "rally round the leader" flurry of last October is bound to revert back to the mean.
