Nadine,

There's a fine print in the Israeli democracy. And that fine print is that Israel is a democracy as long as a Jewish majority and identity can be preserved. The Arabs have never maintained or claimed to be a democratic society.

Why do you think the "right of return" for Palestinian Arabs to Israel or the fertility rate of Arabs is such a sensitive issue? And of course, there isn't an official Israeli Bill of Rights to protect her citizens. Can you guess why?

and evangelical support for Jews as the biblically declared owners of Israel.

I'm curious if that support might wane in the future as American church attendence declines. As fewer children are enculturated in the Biblical stories there might be less of the American assumption of given right of Jews to Israel.

Would be an interesting study.
