jcky, maybe we should start by understanding the Strategic goals of the Palestinians, that may lead us too understand the strategic goals of Sharon as plainly put out in Sharon's Op-ed (in essence no redivision of Jerusalem and forget about the indefensible 1967 line).

The question is what is best way for Israel to attain these goals? No one has a viable solution yet. Correction, no one has a solution which is acceptable to both the Palestinians and the Israelis.


Why does a solution have to be acceptable to both? Our solution to WWII was not acceptable to the Japanese and the Germans, but it sure worked.
