I just don't have enough interest in the fight and I'm out-knowledged in any case. I know when my limited knowledge and experience in a matter will descend into simple "oh yeah, well you stink" rebuttals! :P

52 ton M-48s thousands of miles to save our butts in Mogadishu, but we can't ship 40 ton Crusaders around.

I guess they must have brought the M-48s in by ship, Carl. They sure don't have the Aircraft to handle them. Maybe we flew them in for them? Good Question.

As to those "40 ton Crusaders" do you want some stars and a outside window office at the Pentagon? If you can sell those numbers to Congress, the "Pentagon Princes" might be able to arrange it.

We have not made the major argument for Artillery vs Air here. Weather. I believe I read that 10th Mountain had a problem in Afganistan when when they only had no tubes, and the weather stopped the air from doing the job.
