The terms I used do not qualify as name calling Karen.

They are not profanities or vulgar body function words used to label anyone's persona.

You seem to be saying that the words you used were not vulgar or profane and that they were true, ergo. In my distinction, that is beside the point.

To me a criticism goes like this: I've noticed that, in your last few posts, you've portrayed exaggerated stereotypes of ducks. I think that's unfair and also rude to the ducks among us.

Name calling looks like this: "You bigot, you."

Criticism involves describing a suboptimal behavior. Name-calling attaches an unflattering label to a person.

This is the distinction I make between criticism and name-calling and why I described your actions as name-calling. I don't know that there's any universal standard on such things so I guess we are each entitled to our opinions.
