Thanks, I looked at their prospectus, and it does look good. A pity I didn't know about them until the write up.
I am looking to but the H$R units as they recently raised their dividend.
Many of the latest trusts keep on making new highs, MEW, GDI,BFI,NPR. It's hard to guess which one is the best.
Anyone heard of these guys?
Prime Restaurants Royalty Income Fund is a limited purpose trust established under the laws of the Province of Ontario which has been created to invest in the securities of PRC Trademarks Inc. The Fund will use the proceeds of the offering of Units to acquire common shares and unsecured indebtedness of TradeMarkCo. Upon the closing of the Offering, TradeMarkCo will acquire from Prime Restaurants of Canada Inc. the Canadian trade-marks East Side Mario'sTM , Casey'sTM and other trade-marks and associated rights used by PRC in Canada in connection with its casual dining and pub operations, including Fionn MacCool'sTM, Esplanade Bier MarktTM and Pat and Mario'sTM (collectively, the "Prime Marks"). TradeMarkCo will grant to Prime Restaurants of Canada Inc. a non-exclusive licence to use the Prime Marks for 99 years for a royalty, payable by Prime Restaurants of Canada Inc. to TradeMarkCo, equal to 3.25% of Pooled Revenue of Prime Restaurants in Canada for the use of the Prime Marks.
Prime Restaurants of Canada Inc. owns, operates and franchises one of Canada's leading chains of casual dining restaurants and premium pubs with 128 corporate and franchised locations in Canada (of which 125 restaurants, as at closing, will constitute the initial Royalty Pooled Restaurants).
As a pioneer of the casual dining industry since 1979, Prime Restaurants of Canada Inc. is considered to be an important innovator in the development of brands in the Canadian casual dining segment. Prime Restaurants, today, are a portfolio of concepts that include: East Side Mario's restaurants; Casey's restaurants; Prime Pubs - a family of authentic Irish pubs operating under the trade-marks Fionn MacCool's, D'Arcy McGee's, Paddy Flaherty's, Tir nan Og and Sl' ainte, and a Belgian-style brasserie operating under the trade-mark Esplanade Bier Markt. >Prime Restaurants of Canada Inc. also operates, directly and through franchisees, five restaurants operating under the names Red Devil/RD's BBQ and Blues, and Pat and Mario's.
