11:29 ET BRCD Brocade up on positive comments at conference (21.18 +1.13) Bear Stearns says that BRCD reiterated guidance for sequential growth during their presentation this morning at the firm's tech conference; in addition, the co emphasized that it continues to out-invest competition, that it does not see CSCO as a serious competitor in its core mkts, and expects to have 40% of the Director mkt by the end of 2002. Separately, the co announced that a just-released Gartner Group report confirms that BRCD was ranked #1 in the overall SAN infrastructure mkt, increasing total mkt share to 34% in 2001 from 32% in 2000. Competitor MCDT is trading down (-1.3%) on the news
