LOL. Believe it or not, I really believe that there have been forces trying to marginalize gold prices. They got caught with their pants down too in the most recent runup. However, at the end of the day, it really boils down to how people would rather store their money. Around the world, the resounding answer is in fiat currencies, not gold. When I say resounding, I mean that most people are not buying gold, despite the seeming evidence of the increase in gold prices.
