Hi Dave:
Good to hear from you. Maybe now there can be an actual debate, instead of the name calling that seems to permeate this thread.

I do not agree that the, shall I say, revival?, of Christianity in America is the answer. Not because I don't think Christianity per se is wrong, but because America is now too diverse religiously. It is very difficult to change religions, especially if it has been part of your family and cultural heritage. Imagine moving to India, and giving up Christianity. Religion is much more than a locale.

However, I'll met you part way. If people would adopt the MESSAGE of Jesus Christ, and apply it to their everyday life, America would be a better place. But I do not believe that applies exclusively to Jesus Christ; people could learn from the teachings of Buddha, Gandhi, Mohammed, and others.

Unfortunately, too many children take lessons from the like of Kurt Cobain and Gordon Gecko instead of Jesus, Gandhi, etc. Again, I believe it is up to the parents to chose the correct 'moral compass' and apply it to their everyday life. And apply it to our own, while we're at it.

Boy, I better climb down off this pulpit.
